Dauis residents worry about the nun & driver’s going in & out of the Mercedarian Retreat House quarantine area

Dauis residents living near the quarantine site of the Mercedarian Retreat House have continued to raise concern about the nun and her driver allegedly  being able to freely move in and out of the retreat house, which may lead to health concerns.

In an interview during today’s program of “Newsmakers ug Uban Pa”, Neil Usaraga raised the concern about the movement of the nun and the retreat house driver.

The free movement of the two people may end up increasing the risk of spreading the corona virus just in case one among the OFWs station in the retreat house is positive, Usaraga said.

Usaraga also said that he has already raised this concern to Dauis mayor Marietta Sumaylo who, in turn, said that there is nothing to worry.

About 17 overseas Filipino workers (OFW) are billeted in the Mercedariam Retreat House in Poblacion, Dauis, a situation which was earlier protested by some residents of Purok 5,6,7 of the said barangay. (ardy/dave)
