Ramiro Community Hospital reports “probable” Covid case

Ramiro Community Hospital in a statement that it released, confirms a “probable” case of Covid 19.

The statement posted late Tuesday (May 19) afternoon said that the hospital is able to identify, isolate and screen a “probable” case of Covid infection.

As this develops, the same statement said that contact tracing has already been initiated and all direct contacts have been placed under quarantine.

It was also mentioned that the case and the probable Covid patient’s contacts have been reported to the Provincial Health Office (PHO) and the Department of Health Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (DoH-RESU).

It was further revealed in the statement provided by the hospital in a post on Facebook, that samples for confirmatory testing have been taken.

The samples were already sent to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center sub-national laboratory for testing, the statement added.

At the same time, the statement continued, proper disinfection protocols are being observed by the hospital, ICC and infectious Disease Specialists.

In the same statement, the hospital management is assuring the public that all safety measures have been taken to ensure the safety and care of patients and healthcare workers.

“We move forward and continue to serve the Boholano people in the Healing Ministry,” the statement adds.

Further, the statement said, “we pray for the welfare of all our patients, healthcare workers, and the community”.

The statement does not feature information about the patient and how the case was discovered by the hospital authorities.
