Around 127 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are in Bohol now.
These Boholanos arrived at the Bohol Panglao International Airport (BPIA) via a sweeper flight from Manila.
The flight landed at the Panglao International Airport on Tuesday (May 26) evening, a report from the BPIA police said.
According to the report, the OFWs arrived in flight RP-C 9368 of Royal Air at around 7:34 pm last night.
The same report said that the passengers were inspected and checked by the medical team of the Bureau of Quarantine at the BPIA and also by the personnel from the Provincial Emergency Management Administration (PEMA) to ensure that all health and safety protocols are observed upon the arrival of the OFWs.
Last night’s OFW batch is the first one that arrived in the province via a sweeper flight.
Almost all of the repatriated OFWs arrived in the province via ships from Cebu and passed through the seaports in Tagbilaran or Tubigon.
The OFWs are now subjected to a 14-day quarantine at Bluewater Resort where another batch of 19 OFWs are already billeted.
