About 170 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) have just arrived at the Tagbilaran seaport.

The OFWs came from Cebu and arrived here on late Wednesday afternoon (May 27, 2020). The OFWs arrived here via a special trip of Ocean Jet Fast Ferries.

According to Kevin Damalerio, the head of the information cluster at the Capitol, the new batch of OFWs will be billeted at Hennan Resort in Panglao town.

Upon arrival, at the seaport, the Bohol Tribune learned that the health and security protocols were observed with different government agencies imposing the protocols.

Reports say that right after the arrival, protocols have been implemented. The OFWs immediately boarded buses that will transport them to their quarantine site.

Moreover, the latest batch is in addition to the OFW batch that arrived from Manila this afternoon (May 27, 2020).

According to Kevin Damalerio, there are 54 OFWs who arrived in the Bohol Panglao International Airport (BPIA) from Manila.

However, according to Anthony Damalerio, the head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRMMO), there were 55 OFWs who arrived in Bohol via an Air Asia sweeper flight.

Kevin Damalerio revealed to the Bohol Tribune that the batch that arrived on the afternoon of May 27, 2020 via the BPIA will be billeted at the Bellevue Resort in Panglao.

The arrival of the OFWs is part of the directive of President Duterte to allow the return of the repatriated OFWs to their respective provinces.

The OFWs have already undergone quarantine and have already been subjected to the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.

All of the OFWs are already PCR test negative.
