SAFETY & PREPARATION FOR COVID-19. An Orientation on Donning and Doffing of PPE’s, Disinfection, Waste Management and Proper Handling of Remains was held by teamINABANGA led by Mayor Roygie Jumamoy in partnership with DOH-7 DMO Stephen Lee Torreon last May 29, 2020 at Inabanga South Central Elementary School. It was facilitated by Inabanga Department of Public Health headed by MHO Dr. Edar Rospan Ajo and Nurse IV Ma. Rolinda Melecio and participated by personnel from Philippine Coast Guard, PNP, BFP, MDRRMO headed by Maria Evelyn Socajel, OIC-Market Administrator Jonet Petalcorin, Inabanga Funeral Homes and members of Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) from Nabuad and San Jose, Inabanga. It was held to prepare teamINABANGA frontliners on the DOH-mandated correct medical procedures and protocols in the handling of quarantine and isolation facilities and the upcoming arrivals of LSI’s who will be put on a 14-day quarantine in the designated Quarantine and Isolation Facilities of the municipality to prevent contamination and local transmission of COVID-19. STRONG INTER-AGENCY PARTNERSHIP. In preparation of the new normal, Mayor Roygie Jumamoy together with SB Chairman on Education Jono Jumamoy met with the DepEd North and South Districts of Inabanga headed by its respective PSDS’s, Noel Duavis and Felipeneri Calape, together with some of the school principals via videoconferencing last May 28, 2020 at the SB Session Hall. Preparation on the pening of classes if it pushes through was thoroughly discussed. teamINABANGA with its strong partnership with DepEd pledged its full support to the two districts especially the procurement of new learning materials, risograph machines, desktop computers and other equipment which are now vital in the new educational system implemented by DepEd that minimized physical contact among students. Also discussed was the planned increase of quarantine and isolation rooms in selected schools designated to be central quarantine and isolation facilities for incoming Inabangnon LSI’s. HELPING LSI’s IN INABANGA. Mayor Roygie Jumamoy together with Inabanga LSI Focal Person Shaira Lou Benson met with the 9 Negrenses stranded in Inabanga thru videoconferencing last May 27, 2020 at the SB Session Hall. They were employees of a company selling body massage equipment and apparatus in Bohol living temporarily in Inabanga and stranded since the implementation of the No Sail Policy. In compliance with the DILG and PEMA guidelines regarding LSI’s, they were assisted by teamINABANGA and put on a 14-day home quarantine for them to secure a Certificate of 14-day Quarantine Completion and Medical Certificate as the initial documentary requirements to be prioritized in the trip towards their home province. UNITED AGAINST COVID-19. Mayor Roygie Jumamoy held a coordination meeting with all 50 Punong Barangays and 50 Barangay Secretaries of Inabanga last May 26, 2020 at the Inabanga gym. Also present were MHO Dr. Edar Rospan Ajo, Nurse IV. Ma. Rolinda Melecio and MPIO Frank Baylosis Jr. as resource speakers. Discussed in the meeting were the recent developments of teamINABANGA’s preparation against COVID-19 especially the surge of returning OFW’s and LSI’s these coming weeks. In her message, Mayor Roygie reminded the barangay officials, being the first line of defense, to continue enforcing strictly the municipality’s preventive measures like barangay checkpoints, general curfew hours, total liquor ban, prohibition of all kinds of mass gatherings, etc. The lady mayor then challenged them to continue being proactive and united. After the meeting, teamINABANGA distributed 50 thermal scanners, 50 1-gallon 70% alcohol solution, additional 1 sack of rice to every barangay checkpoint and facemasks to all 50 barangays to augment their resources and increase their capabilities.
