2 Calape “puroks” are under lockdown; patient’s live-in partner now isolated

Two (2) “puroks” in barangay Lawis, Calape town are now in lockdown with the live-in partner of the Covid positive patient being isolated, according to reports.

The isolation of the close contact of the positive Covid case and the lockdown of the two “puroks” of barangay Lawis are offshoots of the implementation of protocols, the same reports said on Friday morning (June 5, 2020).

The same reports say that contact tracing are being conducted following the confirmation of the positive case.

Last Thursday (June 4), the RT-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result of the 89-year old male patient arrived and was received by hospital authorities.

Furthermore, the patient was admitted at the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) last May 25, 2020 and expired on May 26, 2020.

More reports say that the patient was admitted as a severe acute respiratory infection case.
