TWO IS BETTER THAN ONE. In an unexpected move by Mayor Roygie Jumamoy, teamINABANGA announced in its social media accounts the distribution of two sacks of rice to families who were tagged as Social Amelioration Program (SAP) left-outs across its 50 barangays last June 4, 2020. The move earned praises among its 52,482 residents and got hundreds of positive comments and shares among its thousands of followers. Target recipients of this program were families of those senior citizens, UCT members and pensioners who did not benefit from the SAP, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW’s), private employees, public employees, barangay officials, municipal officials and all sectors of the community who did not benefit from SAP. This food assistance program was funded by teamINABANGA and partly by Bayanihan Grant Program in line with Mayor Roygie’s program to help all Inabangnons especially those SAP left-outs who were also equally affected by this COVID-19 pandemic. Local farmers of teamINABANGA received 200 sacks of rice seeds courtesy from the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) led by Gov. Arthur C. Yap last June 3, 2020 in Inabanga Gym. The distribution of its three varieties of seeds, NSIC Rc 222, NSIC Rc 27 and NSIC Rc 160, was facilitated by Inabanga Department of Agriculture and Fishery headed by OIC-Municipal Agriculturist Genaro Logroño. Mayor Roygie Jumamoy in its phonepatch and videoconference message to the two groups of farmers, expressed her gratitude to Gov. Yap at the same time encouraged the farmers to make full use of the free rice seeds. This Rice Exchange Program of the PGBh was fully supported by teamINABANGA as this will greatly help the local farmers sustain their livelihood and support the local rice economy of Bohol in this challenging time. The PNP-Inabanga Station filed three cases at the Provincial Prosecution Office of Bohol last June 5, 2020 in violation of Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code, RA 9271 and 11332 against five residents of San Isidro, Inabanga who were caught sailing from Cordova, Cebu without any appropriate clearance. In its police report, Rodrigo Lofranco y Inting, Charito Lofranco y Magtagad, Joel Gudes y Nineria, Angelo Lofranco y Gudea ug Gino Digal y Niñeria, all residents of said barangay were apprehended by Philippine Coast Guard in the municipal waters of Inabanga last June 1, 2020 and turned over to PNP-Inabanga. Pending further investigation, they were all placed in a 14-day quarantine protocol in the barangay’s isolation unit in accordance with DOH guidelines especially that they came from a place with confirmed COVID-19 cases. The local police advised all residents to strictly follow all provisions of the General Community Quarantine as imposed by Executive Order No. 28-A of the Provincial Government of Bohol and all other guidelines imposed by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to prevent local transmission of COVID-19. (Inabanga Communications and News Service / ICoNS)PREPARING LSI’S ARRIVALS. teamINABANGA has been doing final inspections of its prepared Central Quarantine/Isolation Facilities last June 4, 2020. SB Member Jono Jumamoy representing Mayor Roygie Jumamoy led the inspection together with the key officers of the Municipal Incident Management Team (IMT) namely MHO Dr. Edar Rospan Ajo, Nurse IV Ma. Rolinda Melecio, MDRRMO Maria Evelyn Socajel and its medical, disinfection and logistics teams. teamINABANGA has established three Central Quarantine/Isolation Facilities strategically located to cater to hundreds of returning Locally Stranded Individuals (LSI’s) across its 50 barangays wherein they will undergo a 14-day quarantine. As of this writing, nine LSI’s were already accommodated and the first batch of 25 will be arriving as soon as the Bohol Inter-Agency Task Force ferry them home. Each room was equipped with basic necessities, full provisions and 24-hour standby medical team to make their stay convenient enough before they will be allowed to go home to their respective families.
