In order to upgrade its infrastructure and facilities for peace and order, Alicia town has just inaugurated its modern fire station.

The inauguration of the modern facility took place on Monday, June 8, 2020.

The information about the inauguration of the new fire station was relayed to The Bohol Tribune on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 by Provincial Fire Marshall Fire Major Raul Bustaliño, during an interview.

According to Bustaliño, inauguration rites were simple. This could be due to the present situation where the province is under the General Quarantine Status on account of the Covid-19 crisis.

The new P7.3M worth of fire station, reports say, is located at Barangay Poblacion of Alicia town, on a lot owned by the Alicia Local Government Unit (LGU).

More reports from Bustaliño say that the inauguration ceremony was attended by the town’s officials and some residents led by Mayor Victoriano “Dodong” Torres III and Vice Mayor Marnilou Ayuban.

Also in attendance were personnel from the Alicia police station and from the Provincial Fire Marshall.
