Capitol to hold simple Independence Day rites today

The provincial government of Bohol is holding simple rites to commemorate the 122nd Independence Day celebrations, today, June 12, 2020.

Gov. Arthur Yap is leading some provincial government officials and some invited guests in the commemoration of the country’s Independence Day.

A flag raising ceremony was held at 8 am in front of the new Capitol building.

A short program will follow the flag raising ceremony, according to information obtained by The Bohol Tribune on Thursday, June 11, 2020.

This year’s commemoration will be viewed virtually and only members of the Management Executive Board and other invited guests are expected ro attend in order to avoid mass gathering and to ensure social distancing.

A press conference will follow the short program on Friday.
