About 233 locally stranded individuals (LSIs), including two infants, are in Bohol now.
They compose the two batches of LSIs who arrived here on Thursday, June 11, 2020.
In an interview conducted by The Bohol Tribune today, June 12, 2020, the representative of the Department of Tourism (DoT), Jaypee Orcullo, bared that there were 29 LSIs who arrived here via a sweeper flight on Thursday, June 11, 2020.
Orcullo said the LSIs arrived here via a sweeper flight of the Philippine Airlines from Manila.
He added that the flight arrived at the Bohol Panglao International Airport (BPIA) at around 10:30 am on that day, June 11.
Meanwhile, 164 LSIs including two infants, also arrived here on Thursday, June 11 in a sweeper flight by Air Asia Philippines, a report said.
The sweeper flight landed at the BPIA at around 3:43 pm on that day, Thursday, the same report said.
As of 8 am today, Friday, June 12, 2020, there are about 2,618 LSIs who are already here in Bohol since May 2020, according to Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez, the Capitol spokesman on Covid-related matters.
Lopez added that out of the total number, 281 LSIs have already completed their 14-day quarantine period while about 2,399 LSIs are still undergoing the 14-day quarantine schedule in various local government unit facilities. Lopez said that only few LSIs are in hotels, Lopez said.
He said only one (1) LSI is now under quarantine in Sagbayan after the person tested positive for immunoglobulin M (IgM) using the rapid test.
Lopez said a positive IgM result means there is an ongoing viral infection, but not necessarily the SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the Covid infection.
Nonetheless, all health and safety protocols are being observed and the IgM positive LSI in Sagbayan is already isolated, and has remained asymptomatic.
