The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (MDRRMO) of Getafe bares that two (2) locally stranded individuals (LSIs) test positive in the rapid antibody test.
MDRRMO head Asterio Suello told The Bohol Tribune today, Monday, June 15, 2020, that the tests did not indicate if the two LSIs are positive for immunoglobulin M or immunoglobulin G.
There were 35 LSIs who were tested using the rapid antibody test that only indicated positive or negative for antibodies last Saturday, June 13, 2020, Suello said.
He bared two LSIs had a positive result and 33 LSIs have negative results.
Suello said the 35 LSIs originated from Cebu, and arrived in Bohol last June 6, 2020.
The MDRRMO head of Getafe town said the 35 LSIs were tested using the rapid antibody test on their 7th day of quarantine.
He added that the two LSIs remain asymptomatic.
Moreover, Suello revealed that the local government unit (LGU) will conduct a repeat rapid antibody test upon the 35 LSIs’ completion of the 14-day quarantine.
In a related development, Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez, the Capitol spokesman for Covid-related matters said he has released from the inventory of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), 36 Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved rapid antibody test kits to the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Getafe.
Lopez said that the LGU of Getafe used non FDA-approved rapid antibody test kits on the 35 LSIs during last Saturday’s testing.
