Four (4 ) locally stranded individuals (LSIs) test positive for Covid infection, according to Gov. Arthur Yap.
Two (2) are from Tagbilaran, 1 from Sagbayan, and 1 from Candijay.
All these 4 LSIs tested positive via polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
The governor received the test results on Sunday evening, June 14, 2020 from the Department of Health in Central Visayas.
Initial information received by the Capitol said the Tagbilaran LSIs arrived in Bohol last June 4, 2020.
The information received by The Bohol Tribune did not indicate when the Sagbayan and Candijay LSIs arrived in Bohol.
Currently, the Covid positive LSIs are isolated in their respective quarantine facilities.
The report from the Capitol added that contact tracing activities are now ongoing.
Reports said the two LSIs from Tagbilaran came from Manila via a sweeper flight while the LSI from Candijay and Sagbayan came from Cebu via a sea trip.
Yap said he already informed the mayors concerned about the results.
The governor reiterated the need to observe the minimum health standards including staying at home.
