Bohol’s Covid cases reach 11

Bohol’s Covid cases have reached 11 following the revelation of six (6) cases on Sunday night, June 14, 2020.

The first Covid case in Bohol was a 65-year-old Chinese woman who first tested negative, but a re-run of the swab samples showed that the Chinese woman was positive of Covid infection.

This case involving the female Chinese tourist was reported back in January 2020.

Back in May 2020, two (2) overseas Filipino workers(OFW) tested positive of the Covid infection via the polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

One of the OFWs, tested negative for Covid, in the repeat PCR test.

The other OFW, tested positive in the second PCR test. On the third PCR test, the OFW finally tested negative and was allowed to go home.

On June 4, 2020, two (2) persons tested positive for Covid infection. The 65-year-old from Tagbilaran eventually recovered, while the 89-year-old from Calape, died a day after having been admitted at the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital last May 2020.

The 65-year-old has recovered from the Covid infection after testing negative in the repeat PCR test.

On June 12, two (2) health workers from Allied Care Experts Medical Center were reported to have tested positive for Covid infection.

Reports said that the two (2) Covid-positive health workers had contact with the 65-year-old woman from Tagbilaran.

Last Sunday, June 14, 2020, four (4) locally stranded individuals (LSIs) were found to be Covid positive.

According to information from the Capitol, two (2) Covid positive LSIs are from Tagbilaran: one (1) Covid-positive LSI is from Candijay and another Covid-positive LSI is from Sagbayan.
