Candijay mayor releases info on Covid-infected LSI

Candijay mayor Christopher Tutor releases more information regarding the Candijaynon locally stranded individual (LSI) who tested positive for Covid infection via polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, June 14, 2020, Tutor said the LSI came from Cebu and is among the first batch of Candijay LSIs.

He further said that the Covid-positive LSI is currently isolated in the town’s quarantine facility and has remained asymptomatic as of Sunday.

The Candijay mayor said the contact tracing has been initiated.

He assured the public that the medical workers that were in contact with the Covid-positive LSI are now in quarantine even if they have been using personal protective equipment (PPE).

“Candijaynon, dli ta angay mabalaka kay tanan lihok nato sugod sa atong preparasyon, nisunod ta sa mga health standards & protocol,” Tutor said in his Facebook post.

He added: “Magpabilin kita nga matumanon sa tanan na mandato nga gipahigayon sa gobyerno ilabi na sa Health Standards & Protocol. Ug permi ta mag ampo sa Kahitas-an.”
