The Capitol spokesman on Covid-related matters, Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez, releases additional information on the four (4) new Covid positive cases in Bohol.
He just released the additional information today, Monday, June 15, 2020, reports said.
According to reports, one (1) of the patients from Tagbilaran is a 28-year-old person from Pamaong extension, in Barangay Cogon.
Reports added the other Covid-positive LSI from Tagbilaran is a 27-year-old individual from upper Candait, Barangay Dampas
Additional reports said that the LSI from Sagbayan is a 21-year-old person and the Covid-infected from Candijay is a 22-year-old individual.
Moreover, Lopez said all of the Covid patients are asymptomatic and all are currently isolated in their respective local government unit (LGU) quarantine facilities.
In a report, Lopez added the contact tracing activities have started.
He also said that upon arrival, the LSIs were subjected to polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test by their respective LGUs.
Moreover, Lopez, in a text message to The Bohol Tribune on Monday, June 15, 2020 said the two (2) LSIs from Tagbilaran originated from Manila and arrived in Bohol on June 9, 2020.
However, Gov. Arthur Yap in his Facebook post on June 14, 2020, said the LSIs arrived last June 4, 2020 via a sweeper flight from Manila.
On the other hand, the Sagbayan and Candijay LSIs originated from Cebu last June 11, 2020, Lopez said.
Currently, there are six (6) active positive Covid cases in Bohol, according to a tally being tracked by The Bohol Tribune.
It can be recalled that there are two (2) Covid positive patients who are medical workers in a private hospital, later on identified as Allied Care Experts Medical Center.
