A locally stranded individual (LSI) in San Miguel town and another LSI in Sevilla have reportedly tested positive for immunoglobulin M using rapid antibody test.
According to reports relayed on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, the LSIs in two separate towns are now in isolation in their respective local government units (LGUs) isolation centers.
The reports added that the LSIs located in two different towns are asymptomatic.
San Miguel town mayor Virgilio Mendez said 24 LSIs were supposed to end their quarantine last Friday, June 12, 2020.
However, one LSI out of 24 LSIs tested positive using rapid antibody test, Mendez said in a report.
The LSI came from Cebu and arrived here on May 29, 2020, Mendez said.
Reports revealed that Mendez postponed the homecoming of all 24 LSIs even if only one tested positive as a precautionary measure.
The LSI’s quarantine period is extended to another seven days that will end on Friday, June 19, 2020.
Mendez said that the LSI who tested positive already took a swab test.
On the other hand, Sevilla town mayor Juliet Dano reported that one of the 21 LSIs tested turned out to be positive for immunoglobulin M (IgM) using the rapid antibody test.
Dano said the LSI who tested positive for IgM is a 26-year-old male who arrived here from Cebu last May 31, 2020.
However, Dano said the local government unit (LGU) allowed the 20 LSIs who tested IgM negative to go home while they were advised to continue with home quarantine.
Only the LSI who came out positive via the rapid antibody test remains in isolation and will await the result of the swab test conducted on Monday, June 15, 2020, Dano bared.
Meantime, it was earlier reported that two (2) LSIs in Getafe tested positive via the rapid antibody test.
