Police seize drugs, firearms in Batuan raid

Reports say that the Batuan Police Station raided a Batuan residence and allegedly managed to seize firearms and drugs.

The raids happened early this morning, Tuesday, June 16, 2020.

According to reports, the authorities raided the house of a certain Ryan Panganoron, 26, of Barangay Rizal, Batuan.

Police were armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Sisinio Virtudazo, Regional Trial Court branch 51 based in Tagbilaran City.

The suspect is being accused of violating the Firearms and Ammunitions Law.

Reports added that a certain Junnel Jorillo, 20, also of Barangay Rizal, Batuan was in Panganoron’s house during the raid.

In the raid, the police managed to seize a .45 caliber pistol, a magazine, three (3) live rounds of ammunition for .45 caliber, a .38 caliber revolver, three (3) live ammunitions for .38 caliber, a sachet allegedly containing shabu, and other alleged drug paraphernalia.

As of posting time, Batuan police and barangay officials are still conducting an inventory of the seized pieces of evidence from the raid.
