A 19-year-old male is reported to have drowned and died in Sevilla town.
Reports identified the victim as a certain Michael Anino, of Barangay Calinginan, Sevilla town.
Based on the police investigation, the incident happened at around 11:15 am last June 16, 2020.
The report said the victim was on the river aboard a bamboo raft. Reportedly, the victim slipped and fell into the river.
It was reported that the victim didn’t know how to swim.
Reports further said that the police and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) launched an operation to search for the victim.
The joint team found the victim already dead after getting drowned, according to a report.
