BM proposes “steam inhalation” vs. Covid

Board member Elpidio Bonita is proposing to the public to consider steam inhalation as a measure to avoid the progression of Covid infection and other respiratory disease.

Bonita, a physician by profession, is the chairman of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Committee on Health, made the proposal by way of a resolution.

He presented the resolution to the rest of the members of the Provincial Board last Tuesday, June 16, 2020, during the SP’s regular session.

Bonita said that steam inhalation is an effective way to remove the mucus in the lungs as he recommends it to the public as a doctor.

In relation to this, tge president of the Bohol chapter of the Philippine Councilors’ League sponsored a proposed ordinance to promote steam inhalation as a measure against Covid infection and other forms of respiratory infection.

The proposed ordinance is now with a technical working group that will study the proposal pushed by Bonita.
