In a public announcement, the Cebu city government bares that all sea travel for locally stranded individuals (LSIs) are suspended until June 30, 2020.
The suspension took effect on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
The Bohol-Inter Agency Task Force has confirmed the suspension of sea travels for LSIs originating from Cebu City.
Cebu City is under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and one of the measures taken a day after the imposition of ECQ is the suspension of sea trips.
Present data show that more than 3,000 LSIs arrived in Bohol since the province started to allow their return starting May 2020, according to reports.
Out of the more than 3,000 LSIs here in Bohol, there are 5 LSIs who are Covid-positive and all originated from Cebu City.
Three (3) LSIs from Tagbilaran and one each in Candijay and Sagbayan are confirmed to be Covid positive via the polymerase chain reaction test.
