AMID THE CORONA virus pandemic, a leading local doctors’ group in the province stepped up its efforts anew as the Philippine College of Physicians-Bohol Chapter recently bared its new set of officers effective June 1, 2020.
The newly-sworn PCP-Bohol officials for fiscal year 2020-2021 are namely the Board of Directors composed ofPresident – Dr. Kazan Benigno S.Baluyot;Vice President- Dr.Gosini A. Lubguban;Secretary – Dr.Mardy G. Fortich;Treasurer – Dr. Jesus Bryan G. Cepedoza; and Board Members comprised by Dr. Lady May Kean T. Dy, Dr. Maria MayidaPureza, Dr. Conception R. Ybanez, and Dr. Vidal M. Manga. PCP-Bohol immediate past Presidentis Dr. Angelito A. Lechago.
This new set of officers injects newfound vigor in the PCP leadership as it is bannered by a new President who is a young multi-awarded cardiologist and internist in the person Dr. Kazan Baluyot, who intends to amplify efforts among local doctors in fight against the Covid-19 crisis.
Recently in the past few weeks at the forefront of the corona virus threat, Dr. Baluyot and the other bohol doctors have started fast-tracking the distribution of life-saving N95 surgical masks, face shields, medical gloves, alcohol, hand sanitizers, and other much-needed supplies to the medical frontliners in local hospitals and in the communities.
Dr. Baluyot, a Fellow Cardiologist and Fellow on Internal Medicine, is the concurrent Philippine Medical Association (PMA) Governor for Central Visayas. The PMA is composed of 63,000 medical doctors in the Philippines.
