Charges eyed for alleged illegal entry of LSIs

Buenavista police are looking into filing charges against the three (3) locally stranded individuals (LSIs) who allegedly illegally entered the town.

The police are preparing the filing of charges for violation of Provincial Ordinance 2020-007 and Republic Act No. 11332 or the Law on Reporting of Communicable Diseases.

It can be recalled that three (3) LSIs illegally entered Buenavista town on Monday, June 23, 2020.

Reports said the LSIs originated from Lapu-lapu City.

Buenavista police chief Capt. Rico Emperwa identified the LSIs as Gregorio Pacaldo, 57, Felipa Pacaldo, 50, and an 11-year-old minor. All of them are from barangay Bonot-Bonot, Buenavista.

Currently, the three LSIs are placed on a 14-day quarantine in Buenavista’s quarantine facility.
