The Sangguniang Panglungsod (SP) passes a resolution urging City Mayor John Geesnell Yap for the provision of face shields to all city employees.
City councilor Augustinus “Dodong” Gonzaga filed the resolution on Friday, June 26, 2020 during the regular session of the SP.
Just like frontliners and employees of establishments who are serving the public, city employees are also exposed to city hall visitors that could lead to the spread of the virus that causes Covid infection, Gonzaga said.
The councilor said that the city government can afford providing all city employees that may come from the supplemental budget earmarked for the city’s Covid respomse.
Moreover, Gonzaga’s resolution was approved en masse, reports said.
