Fisherman gets rescued in Jagna

A fisherman from Surigao del Norte is rescued off the waters of Jagna town, reports say.

The rescue operation happened on Sunday, June 28, 2020.

The same reports say the fisherman was out into the seas for three (3) days before he was rescued.

The fisherman was stranded after the engine of his pumpboat got busted.

The reports identified the fisherman as Ronel Gorez, 32, of Linongga, San Francisco, Surigao del Norte.

He was rescued off the waters of barangay Looc in Jagna on Sunday, according to reports.

Initial investigations reveal that while the fisherman was on a fishing venture, his boat engine conked out.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) received an information from Surigao del Norte that the fisherman has was reported missing for three (3) days.

Reports added that Jagna’s Municipal Health Office conducted a health examination on the rescued fisherman and results revealed that the latter is in excellent health condition.

The fisherman, reports say, is currently in the custody of the PCG Bohol Eastern Command awaiting his repatriation to Surigao del Norte.
