Gov. Arthur Yap issues, an executive order (EO) extending the ban on pork, pork products, and live hogs in relation to the African Swine Fever (ASF).

The EO was signed on June 19, 2020 but was released to the public only on Monday, June 29, 2020. The EO will take effect on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

In his EO No. 32, Yap said that the ASF problem remains active especially in mainland Luzon.

With the situation, the latest EO extends the implementation of EO Nos. 7, 22, and 55, series of 2019.

These EOs mandate the ban on the entry of live hogs, pork, and pork products, including swine feeds from Luzon.

It can remembered that Bohol acted swiftly in the banning of live hogs, pork, pork products, and even swine feeds to protect the P2 billion swine industry in Bohol from the effects of ASF.
