Valencia mayor Katrina Lim airs her appeal urging the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and locally stranded individuals (LSIs) to follow the protocols and be responsible so they can go home to their families safe and Covid-free.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, Lim said, “The ONLY MISSION is to get everybody home, SAFE and COVID-FREE.”
“This is the reason why protocols were made. This is the reason why we should STRICTLY IMPOSE these protocols. This is the reason why NOBODY should get ‘SPECIAL’ privileges,” she continued.
In the same post, Lim said, “I hope that every Boholano LSI and OFW realizes that these protocols were mandated, not to burden them, but to ensure that their repatriation will be as safe and as systematic as possible.”
She pointed out, “Dili lalim mahimong Gobernador. Dili lalim mahimong Mayor.
Moreover, Lim said, “Kasabot mi nga dili usab lalim mahimong LSI ug returning OFW karong panahona.
The young mayor, further, said, “Yes, we have a moral and social responsibility to our dear LSIs and returning OFWs. But let me also remind you that we also have a moral and social responsibility to a thousand other Boholanos who sacrificed starting from ECQ times up to present, just to be safe from this pandemic.”
She ended her post by saying, “Unta magsinabtanay tang tanan.”
