Gov. Arthur Yap issues Executive Order (EO) No. 33 placing Bohol under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) and providing mandates and directives under the said community quarantine status. He issued the EO on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. The EO will expire on July 15, 2020.
In the EO, the travel ban on domestic and international travel is extended until July 15, 2020.
However, travel of locally stranded individuals (LSIs), returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and authorized persons outside residence (APOR) are allowed to Bohol but still subject to strict quarantine and testing protocols.
The province, under the EO, adopts, with modification, Section 5 of the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) Omnibus Guidelines dated June 25, 2020.
The EO says the curfew on minors and senior citizens remains.
Additionally, the home quarantine pass requirement, suspension of face-to-face classes, partial liquor ban, social distancing, and mandatory use of face masks will remain implemented.
Under the MGCQ, dine-in restaurants may accept up to 50% of the venue’s seating capacity.
Also, hotels and other accommodation establishments may operate as long as they are able to secure respective certificates of authority to operate from the Department of Tourism. The DoT and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) shall coordinate with the local government unit (LGU) to ensure the compliance of the hotels and accommpdation establishments.
In the MGCQ, religious services are allowed up to 50% of the church’s or religious venue’s seating capacity.
Non-contact sports and physical exercises not involving close contact with other people are allowed.
Under the MGCQ, fitness gyms are allowed to operate up to 50% of the venue’s capacity.
Public transport will continue to operate under the MGCQ, the EO said.
Nightclubs, cinemas, videoke bars, internet cafes, and cockfighting are prohibited under the MGCQ, the EO added.
Prior to the issuance of the EO, President Duterte announced that Bohol together with provinces and areas in Central Visayas, except Cebu City, are under MGCQ.
Cebu City is under ECQ until July 15, 2020.
