Alta Citta marks 1st Anniversary

One of the most-modern and favorite shopping and dining destinations located in the heart of the city, Alta Citta Mall will turn a year older tomorrow, July 6, with relatively less fanfare because of the pandemic.

Young and dynamic mall manager Alexis Roque said, “We mark our first anniversary on Monday, without the usual events or activities, sales or promos, except for the online edition of Quest for the Voice singing contest. We just want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our valued customers for their continued patronage.”

Mr. Roque was quick to add that the mall is 100% open, especially the major tenants such as Jollibee, Chowking, Sunburst, The Prawn Farm, Hukad, Dimsum Break, including Alva’s which now offer dine-services under strict health protocols.

The Supermarket at the Lower Ground Level is open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, while other tenants that open late in the morning are BPI, ibex., David’s Salon, Executive Optical, Estrella Bakery, Potato Corner, Shawarma Rack, Lemon Co., Thirsty, Turks, Rulls, and Sticker Race.

A stunning architectural masterpiece, the 4-level Alta Citta Mall spreads across 17,213 square meters occupying almost an entire block previously occupied by HNU (formerly DWC-T). With its exterior walls replete with striking linear designs, the mall has the semblance of the old HNU building purposely done just to preserve its sentimental and historical values.

The basement of the mall serves as the carpark which can accommodate 65 cars and 150 motorcycles at any given time. An outside parking area around the mall can also contain 65 cars.

Alta Citta Mall is the latest retail venture of the Alturas Group of Companies (AGC) which also operates the Island City Mall, Alturas Mall, and Plaza Marcela in the city; and Alturas-Talibon, Alturas-Tubigon and Colonnade Supermarket in Cebu and Mandaue. It is the 8th flagship store of AGC.

The meaning of Alta Citta is derived from the Spanish word alta meaning “high”, and Italian word citta which is “city”.

ALTA CITTA MALL
will turn one year old tomorrow, July 6, and its imposing structure which dominates the cityscape continues to
give a new feel to the shopping and dining lifestyle of the Boholanos.
