Crime incidents down while Bohol is under community quarantine

The Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) reports that crime incidents in the province declined while Bohol is under community quarantine.

This was the revelation made by police provincial director Col. Joselito Clarito in his report to the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) meeting last Monday, June 29, 2020.

In the said report, Clarito bared that the crime volume since March 2020 has been declining especially when the community quarantine was imposed in Bohol by Gov. Arthur Yap on March 16, 2020.

Clarito presented to the members of the PPOC the crime volume data from January to June 2020.

According to statistics, the following incidents were reported:

POLICE ISOLATION CENTER TO BE LAUNCHED TOMORROW

Meanwhile, tomorrow, Monday, July 6, 2020, the BPPO will launch the Makatao, Malasakit Recovery Center, according to Major Jacinto Mandal, the chief of the BPPO’s Police Community Relations Office.

Mandal, in an interview said, the center is located in the gymnasium of barangay Poblacion 2, in Tagbilaran City.

The recovery center serves as the isolation facility for police officers who may exhibit signs and symptoms of Covid infection.

Mandal added that the center has a 50-bed capacity that will host police officers who need to be isolated for possible Covid infection.

It is expected that Clarito will lead the launch rites tomorrow together with some very important persons.

The launch rites will coincide with the BPPO’s celebration of the Police Community Relations Month this July 2020, Mandal said
