BFP inaugurates Dauis fire station tomorrow

(Joint report from DCR, DSA, GAB)

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is set to inaugurate the P7.3 million, two-storey Dauis fire station, located at barangay Poblacion, Dauis, tomorrow, July 8, 2020, according to reports reaching The Bohol Tribune.

BFP Bohol provincial director Chief Insp. Raul Bustaliño bared the information in an interview on Monday, July 6, 2020.

Bustaliño said that the modern fire station in Dauis will soon be put into service to serve the needs of Dauis for fire protection. It will also serve the neighboring towns and even Tagbilaran City as an augmentation force.

The new fire station is located adjacent to the town’s police station building and the new Dauis town hall, Bustaliño said in the same interview.

The new fire station will house the town’s top-of-the-line Rosenbauer fire truck, which is from the national government.

Bustaliño added that the new fire station is built on the lot donated to the BFP by the local government unit (LGU) of Dauis and it was the BFP that funded the construction of the said fire station coming from its budget.

Last month, the BFP inaugurated the Alicia fire station as part of the BFP’s thrust to have fire stations in every town in Bohol in order to respond swiftly and efficiently to fire emergencies.

Aside from responding to fire emergency situations, the BFP is also responding to

disinfection processes whenever there are locally stranded individuals (LSI) or overseas Filipino workers (OFW) arriving in Bohol, Bustaliño said.
