The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Eduardo Año approves “in principle” to allow motorcycle backriding at least for couples, starting tomorrow, July 10, 2020.
Año announced the development on Thursday, July 9, 2020, allowing pilliory riding or motorcycle backriding for couples with strict health protocols.
Arthur Yap, approved na yan ng NTF (National Task Force) at ito yung prototype na gagamitin natin,” Año, vice chairman of the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) in a national interview, said.
He said the model, which allows passengers behind motorcycle drivers, has dividers and handles between the riders and passengers to contain the spread of Covid.
The DILG secretary said while Yap’s prototype has been approved, the task force is still accepting submissions for other designs and proposals.
