A tarsier has been spotted in a barangay in Balilihan town.
In a post of Facebook by Balilihan Mayor Maria Pureza Chatto, the tarsier was spotted in barangay Carmen Sur, Balilihan.
Chatto urged the people of Balilihan to preserve and protect the primate.
The tarsier has become the unofficial “mascot” and one of the enduring symbols of Bohol.
It is a primate that is found widely in the island province and the people of Bohol have been exerting efforts to protect the so-called World’s Smallest Primate.
