Carpenter stabs fellow carpenter in Panglao

A carpenter stabs his fellow carpenter in Panglao as the police say that the motive may be related to an old grudge.

The incident happened on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at purok 4, barangay Looc, Panglao.

A police report provided to The Bohol Tribune on Monday, July 13, 2020 says that the suspect is identified as Rogelio Tabucao, 53, a native of Basay, Samar.

It was indicated in the same report that the victim is identified as Benedicto Degamo, 35, a native of barangay Tontonan, Clarin. Both of them are residing at the bunkhouse located at the construction site of Galilea Garden Hotel, in barangay Looc, Panglao.

Initial investigation reveals that the police responded to a report that a stabbing incident happened in the said area.

The victim was rushed to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) for treatment and is now in stable condition.

The police were informed about the whereabouts of the suspect that led to the arrest of the latter, report bares.

It was also indicated in the report that prior to the stabbing incident, the suspect and the victim engaged in a heated argument and were pacified by the other workers in the construction site.

The arrested suspect is now under the custody of Panglao police and will be facing appropriate charges, the report narrates.
