RD Ferro visits Bohol, leaves after an hour

Police regional director (RD) Brig. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro visits Bohol early this morning and leaves after an hour, according to Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) provincial director Col. Joselito Clarito.

In a telephone interview conducted by The Bohol Tribune with PD Clarito, he said that Ferro arrived here and stayed at the Bohol Panglao International Airport (BPIA) and had a “talk to men”.

Clarito said that Ferro stayed for an hour in Bohol and left the province after the “talk to men” activity.

According to reports, Ferro arrived here with some of his staff members aboard a helicopter and landed at the BPIA.

The Bohol Tribune reached out to Gov. Arthur Yap to find out whether or not Ferro’s camp coordinated with the provincial government prior to arrival here. The governor is out from his office on an official visit to one of the islands in the province.

However, The Bohol Tribune learned from capitol sources that the governor was unaware about Ferro’s visit and that there was no coordination between the provincial government and Ferro’s camp.

The Bohol Tribune tried to reach out to the office of Panglao Mayor Nila Montero to ask information regarding coordination. As of posting time, Montero has left her phone unattended.
