Gov. Arthur Yap confirms the report that a locally stranded individual (LSI) in Tagbilaran City tests positive for Covid infection via polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
He made the confirmation via Facebook post on Thursday, July 16, 2020.
Earlier, Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II reported that a 25-year-old female from barangay Cogon tested positive for Covid.
The governor said that contact tracing activities have been initiated by the City Health Office with the assistance of the Provincial Health Office.
Early yesterday afternoon, Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez lauded Tagbilaran for having zero active Covid cases’following the recovery of all of the city’s previous Covid infected patients.
