Unidentified armed men opened fire on an Army position in barangay Cambigsi, Bilar today, Tuesday afternoon, July 21, 2020, according to 1st Lt. Elma Grace Remonde, civil military operations officer of the 47th Infantry Battalion (IB).
In a text message to The Bohol Tribune, Remonde said that the incident happened at around 5pm on Tuesday.
The armed men opened fire on Army troopers on board a military vehicle.
Initial reports say that there are no casualties in the on the Army’s side as tracking and hot pursuit operations are being conducted as of posting time.
Remonde said she will provide additional details about the incident as soon as they are available.
