A netizen is sharing his Covid protection tips as Bohol is now experiencing an increasing number of local virus transmission.
Michael Yu of Blue Grass Project shares his tips via a Facebook post.
He said that people should not forget about the safety and health protocols against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is responsible for the Covid infection. He said:
“ 1. Mask, mask, mask… mask up… more layers means more protection.
- Wear fitted masks; no gaps. Wear them properly to cover both mouth and nose.
- Stay home if you have no essential and important work or business to do…
- Constantly wash your hands with soap.
- Bring alcohol spray or handwash when you need to leave the house.
- Wear eye protection and face shield.
- Avoid touching your nose, eyes and mouth.
- Observe social distancing.
- Avoid touching surfaces in public places.
- Don’t bring your shoes inside the house.
- Place a covered laundry bag by the door so you can immediately remove your clothes as soon as you reach home.
- Put items you usually bring into your homes from outside—bills, coins, credit cards, watch, eyewear, keys, mobile phone, etc.—in a bag, small box or basket and heat contents for several minutes with a standard hair blower/dryer on high heat.
- Some people put their paper bills and coins in water with soap or disinfectant overnight and dry them under the sun in the morning.
- Avoid crowded, enclosed places.
- Make grocery trips very quick and less frequent; avoid conversation.
- Drink a daily dose of Vitamin C and 50mg zinc.
- Drink your ginger, lemons and turmeric teas.
- Boil water with salt, carefully pour In a bowl, inhale the steam for a few minutes, do this regularly.
- Eat your fruits and vegetables.
- Expose your face and body to the light and warmth of morning and afternoon sun from the window, door, balcony, patio or garden.
- Keep safe and healthy.
- Be kind.
- help others in need.
- Be vigilant.
- Pray.”
Bohol has registered six (6) cases of community transmission reported in the last four (4) days, according to Gov. Arthur Yap.
