BAYANIHAN, THE BOHOLANO WAY. Mayor Roygie Jumamoy is awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by Gov. Art Yap during the 166th Bohol Day celebration on July 22, 2020 at the Bohol Provincial Capitol (photo 1). Sharing the same honors are Trinidad Mayor Judith Cajes and Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell Yap (photo 2) and Local Chief Executives of the 2nd District of Bohol (photo 3). The recognition is also given to the three (3) Bohol district Representatives, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members and the rest of the Municipal Mayors of Bohol media and private sector personalities in recognition of their sacrifices, expertise, time and resources shared in the protection of Boholanos during this COVID-19 pandemic (photo 4). During Governor Yap’s State of the Province Address, Mayor Roygie is featured in a short video presentation showing Inabanga’s own contribution to the fulfillment of the priority programs of the Provincial Government of Bohol (photo 5). The lady mayor is expressing her utmost gratitude to Governor Yap for the said recognition at the same time conveying her commitment to the development of Inabanga and Bohol in general. Team INABANGA headed by Mayor Roygie Jumamoy (photo 1) together with Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Frank Baylosis Jr. and Municipal Civil Registrar Mai-Mai Aparicio is shown successfully conducting the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) recruitment program for the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (COH) on July 24, 2020 at the Inabanga Gym. The PSA Bohol Provincial Office headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Jessamyn Anne C. Alcazaren is represented by Statistical Analyst I Beatriz Merlas, Administrative Officer I Miraflor Payot and Administrative Assistant II Rhea Basilio (photo 2). 118 applicants across 50 barangays (photos 3, 4 and 5) undergo written examinations and interviews for Census Areas Supervisors, Headquarter Clerks and Enumerators positions. Mayor Roygie in her message as Chairman of the Municipal Census Coordinating Board broadcasted via videoconferencing through the LED wall emphasizes the importance of accurate data gathering in this year’s census which will form as a baseline data for economic, social, environmental and policy plans and developments of Inabanga in the coming years.
