A Boholano doctor shares the experience and insights of another doctor in a Facebook post. He created the post on Saturday, July 25, 2020.

Dr. Brian Cepedoza, a pulmonologist, shared the insight of a certain Dr. Salvana who was involved in two (2) outbreaks involving medical laboratory personnel and doctors and other healthcare workers in a hospital.

The post said,” I can tell you that this virus is just waiting for the smallest slip-up to infect anyone.”

“You would think that laboratory personnel and doctors would know how to protect themselves – and they do, most of the time. But this isn’t about the virus being smart. It has no brain,” the post continued.

“It’s about us, including the ones who SHOULD know better, thinking we can cheat from time to time. With the more infectious G614 mutation already detected by sequencing in the Philippines, this makes meticulous adherence to masking, physical distancing and disinfection essential,” the same post said.

“It isn’t that the virus has become smarter, it’s because we do stupid things even when we should know better,” the post ended.

The post by the Boholano doctor is a timely reminder to all as Bohol recorded seven (7) community transmission cases in 7 days.
