For this edition of VOX POPULI, the Bohol Tribune ventured on asking the opinion of our netizens regarding the following issues:

  1. The possibility of reverting the status of Bohol to Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) from Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) considering the increasing number of Covid Positive Patients and the presence of community transmission in the province.

Survey Question 1: “Gasaka ang atong mga Covid Positive cases ug community transmission na ta. Gusto ba mo nga mubalik ta sa ECQ”?

  1. The possibility of extending the term of office of local elected officials due to the pandemic.

Survey question no 2: “Uyon ka ba nga lugwayan ang term of office sa atong mga local officials tungod sa pandemic?”

  Pangpulihan na silang tanan. Pangpulihan na silang tanan. Wrong Strategy in containing “COVID”.. that’s the result of leadership without knowledge and understanding on the situation. How can these leaders protect the community if their community is no longer healthy. its natural that when the health of the community weakens, it weakens the immune system of people, thus, normally common illnesses will eventually rise add more stress, panic and anxiety, well you have a formula for a COVID outbreak within the community. Its not surprising that local transmission occurs. The illnesses are common it can occur anytime anywhere (fever, colds, cough, flu..etc.) these common illnesses will occur with or without COVID. WHO just added the word “COVID” to make it more deadly.. we are just too hyped up with covid that people and communities forget to stay healthy. again COVID is curable coz its symtoms are curable, just like any other illness people recovers. so why panic? we should be more concern with the people handling the situation coz clearly they’re not in control and don’t have any clue how to handle it.
