13-year-old Tagbilaranon, close contacts prove negative after Covid testing

Tagbilaran Mayor John Geesnell Yap II reports that the 13-year-old Tagbilaranon, his mother and the 5-year-old sibling test negative for coronavirus disease (Covid).

The mayor reported the results in a Facebook post on Sunday, July 26, 2020.

However, the mayor further reported that two (2) locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and one (1) authorized person outside residence (APOR) tested POSITIVE for Covid, following the release of their polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test results, the mayor said.

One of the LSIs is a 23-year-old male who arrived here on July 14, 2020 and the other one is a 20-year-old male who arrived here on July 15, 2020 and both of them arrived in Bohol via the sweeper fights from Manila.

The APOR is a 32-year-old male who arrived in Tagbilaran via Tubigon (from Mandaue) on July 18, 2020.

The three (3) new Covid positive patients are asymptomatic and have been subjected to PCR tests as per protocol of the city government.

Yap, in the same post, chided the fake news circulating on social media and urged the people to get information only from his official Facebook page.
