2 close contacts of previous Catigbian Covid patient test positive for Covid

Gov. Arthur Yap reports that two (2) close contacts of a Covid-positive patient from Catigbian test positive for Covid infection. The report was released on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

The same report said that the 2 persons who are now Covid-positive patients have no travel history from a place considered aa a Covid hotspot. They are not locally stranded individuals nor overseas Filipino workers.

The 2 are close contacts of the Catigbian person who tested positive for Covid and considered as a community transmission.

The 2 cases are products of the contact tracing in relation to the earlier Covid-positive case. The 2 patients are now isolated. Currently, contact tracing activities are being done for the close contacts of the 2 new Covid-positive cases.

Right now, Catigbian mayor Elizabeth Mandin has been informed about the new Covid-positive cases.

Yap said that there is a huge possibility that there is an asymptomatic virus carrier that is roaming around in the community.

For this reason, Boholanos need to be vigilant and to observe the minimum health standards, Yap bares.
