Barring any last minute hitches, the Interior and Local Government Sec. Eduardo Año and Tourism Sec. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat are arriving on Friday, according to Kevin Damalerio, head of the information cluster at the Capitol.
Damalerio confirmed that the two (2) national government officials are visiting the province to check the situation here, especially regarding the coronavirus disease (Covid) response and to check the mobile containerized polymerase chain reaction (PCR) laboratory.
The final itinerary of the 2 officials is still to be completed yet and as of this time, there is no word on how long the officials will stay in Bohol.
Puyat’s visit is seen as an opportunity to discuss with Gov. Arthur Yap the concept of “travel bubbles”.
Travel bubbles are arrangements involving the travel of tourists in areas that have considerable success in containing the Covid problem, Yap said.
