Gov. Arthur Yap reports today that there are two (2) new coronavirus disease (Covid) cases considered as “community transmission”.

The governor released the report just now, Saturday evening, August 1, 2020.

One of the patients is from Talibon, while the other is from Bien Unido.

The governor said that the 2 Covid-positive cases do not fall in any if these: locally stranded individuals (LSI), overseas Filipino workers (OFW), products of contact tracing. The 2 patients also have no travel history to a Covid hot spot.

The Talibon patient has been admitted at the Garcia Memorial Provincial Hospital since July 27, 2020 and remains in isolation.

The contact tracing is already done and all contacts are also in isolation, according to the governor.

On the other hand, the patient from Bien Unido, exhibited fever on July 26, 2020 and is admitted at the Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital in Ubay town. The patient is now isolated and the contact tracing is done, and all close contacts are now also in isolation.

As Bohol registered another community transmission, the governor again reminded the people to follow the health protocols and to stay at home unless there is a pressing need to go out.
