True to its name, GugmaTagbilaran, founded by Tagbilaran First Lady Jane Yap, is proving its love to the City Government personnel.

Gugma Tagbilaran has just distributed face masks and face shields to all city hall personnel, which include those hired under the job orders, the plantilla casuals, the contractuals, co-terminus hirees, and regular employees, according to information from the City Media Bureau.

Furthermore, Gugma Tagbilaran also gave four (4) units of contactless thermal scanner with automatic hand disinfectant and foot bath.

This thermal scanner offers a critical first line of defense by instantly taking the body temperature of persons entering the establishment, without any human interaction.

It also features a foot bath and an auto hand-sanitizer that can be operated using a pedal.

On behalf of the City Government, City Administrator Cathelyn Torremocha, also expressed her gratefulness to first lady Jane Yap for the protective coverings and thermal scanning kiosks.

Likewise, City Mayor John Geesnell Yap also shared words of gratitude for “Gugma Tagbilaran’s” gesture of kindness and generosity.

“These (donation) will provide the much-needed protection to the City Government personnel who report to work eight (8) hours a day, Mondays to Fridays. The partnership we have with GugmaTagbilaran and other well-meaning organizations have been very fruitful, both in helping our frontliners fight COVID-19 and protecting the people at the back-end”, Yap said.
