Police find body of a dead, unidentified man

Buenavista police report that they have found a dead body of unidentified man, believed to be a victim of summary execution known as salvage. The police report say the body was discovered on Monday, August 3, 2020 in barangay Panaghagnan, Buenavista town.

The dead person’s body was found with a black t-shirt on and a pair of short pants. The dead man is approximated to be 28 years old. He sported a tattoo showing a name “Samuel Alacida”, the police report says.

Initial investigation revealed that residents near the crime scene heard a vehicle that halted nearby, after a few minutes, the residents heard gunshots, which the residents believe killed the victim.

In the post mortem investigation, Buenavista Municipal Health Officer Marivic Chua said the victim sustained fatal gunshot wound in the head.

It was further revealed, the victim had strangle marks on the neck and bruises in the body.

The police report bares that the police investigators recovered a black helmet, a pair of slippers, and a black face mask.

As of the moment, the Buenavista police are conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the identity of the victim and the suspects together with the motive behind the killing.
