3 new Covid cases recorded in Bohol

Gov. Arthur Yap reports that there are three (3) new coronavirus disease (Covid) cases in Bohol following the release of the Department of Health (DOH). The report was released on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.

He said the new cases are from two (2) towns: Sagbayan and San Miguel.

One (1) locally stranded individual (LSI) from Sagbayan tested positive for Covid.

Sagbayan mayor Restituto Suarez Jr. has been informed about the new Covid case.

Moreover, the two (2) cases in San Miguel are products of contact tracing of the earlier case of community tranmission in the said town.

The 2 new Covid-positive patients are now isolated. The mayor of San Miguel town, Virgilio Mendez, has been informed about the new cases.

Also, the DOH report included the result of the repeat polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test of a person from Lila. The repeat PCR test shows that the person remains infected with the virus, which causes Covid. The patient remains isolated in an isolation facility.

With the new cases, there are 102 Covid-positive cases in Bohol, where there are 29 active cases and 69 recoveries and four (4) deaths.
