The current situation of quarantine and lockdowns is not barring first district Cong. Edgar Chatto from fulfilling his duty as a lawmaker as he gets to attend sessions in the House of Representatives through the video teleconferencing platform Zoom.
The lockdowns and travel ban prevent Chatto to be physically present in Manila to attend the sessions in the Lower House.
Despite the challenges, Chatto is still able to work and serve his constituents through virtual means as he has been attending committee hearings, plenary sessions, and even engage in speaking engagements through Zoom of any other platform.
Likewise, he has been engaged in meetings and seminars with various local and national officials who are working to solve the challenges posed by the pandemic.
Aside from attending the sessions, Chatto also travels around his district to listen to the needs of his constituents.
Chatto in his speech said that there is excuse for a representative, particularly those who are from Bohol, not to be actively participating in Congress just because of the lockdown and unable to travel to Manila.
