Ubay hospital staff tests positive for Covid

Gov. Arthur Yap reports that a hospital staff from the Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital in Ubay tests positive for coronavirus disease (Covid). The governor gave the report on Saturday morning, August 8, 2020 after the Department of Health (DOH) released the result on Friday night, August 7, 2020.

The governor said that the result is a product of contact tracing related to Bien Unido patient who earlier tested positive for Covid.

He added that the hospital staff is currently isolated. The staff is in isolation since the time that he was identified as a close contact of a confirmed Covid-positive person.

Moreover, contact tracing activities have been launched to determine the close contacts of the latest Covid-positive patient.

With the development, the total Covid cases in Bohol has reached 104 cases, based on the tracking of the Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (B-IATF).
