4 persons from Bien Unido test positive for Covid

Four (4) persons test positive for coronavirus disease (Covid) based on the report from the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH), Gov. Arthur Yap said in a statement on Saturday, August 15, 2020.

The four (4) new cases are considered to be community transmission as they are products of contact tracing and random testing of the residents in the said town.

Currently, the entire Malingin Island remains under lockdown, Yap said. Police and other security personnel are making sure the lockdown remains implemented in the island. Seaborne patrol around the island is being done to prevent any unauthorized movement in and out of the island from the sea, the governor added.

In the same statement, Yap said contact tracing continues with the Bien Unido Rural Health Unit leading the activities.

Meanwhile, the governor said that no one among the people in the province wish that any person gets sick with Covid. He said he has read the comments on his report about the five(5) new cases in Bien Unido posted on Friday, August 14, 2020.

“ Igo lang ta nipahibaw sa tinuod base sa resulta nga gipahibaw sa (polymerase chain reaction) PCR Laboratory,” Yap mentioned in his statement.

“Kung dili ta motuo sa resulta, unsaon man nato pagtabang ang katawhan aron malikayan ang pagkuyanap sa virus dinhi sa atong lalawigan? Wala ta maghimo ug bakak o fake results. Igo lang ta nisulti sa kamatuoran ug sa tinuod sitwasyon sa atong lalawigan,” the governor said in his statement.
